Take advantage of the Louisiana Breeders program which provides that 20% of the purse distribution in any race in Louisiana shall be payable to the breeders of Louisiana bred horses when they finish first, second, or third.  Louisiana has year round racing with substantial purses created by the infusion of slot machine proceeds.  Monies have also been allocated to breeders of any Louisiana bred placing in races outside of Louisiana.  For more information , see Rules for Registering a Foal.
